US Foods e-commerce platform is on a track of transacting $20b+ worth of order volume in 2022, with more than half coming from National Account Customers. A critical element of retaining and growing the national account customer segment, is to offer value added services and technology that is seamlessly integrated into the broader Digital Customer eco-system. Furthermore, as part of the overall Digital First Strategy integrating 3rd party’s value added technologies and to develop such technologies is important in realizing the Digital First Strategy vision; that will enable greater reach to new customers, drive greater share of wallet, and overall drive greater profitable sales growth.

As the Senior Director of Value-Added Product Delivery, and in partnership with the E-commerce Product Organization and National Sales Business Leadership team you will be responsible for developing future looking strategic technology value-added vision/roadmap and leveraging product teams to bring it to life.

You will lead teams of technical innovators focusing on delivering business outcomes through a product centric delivery model.

You will work hand-in-hand with national sales organization and other IT leaders in assessing new emerging technology, manage vendor relationships, define release priorities, and ensure achievement of business outcomes and results through technology enablement.

You are both an innovative technologist and a motivating coach of talent with a relentless drive to continuously improve the delivery of value-added technology as part of the Digital Commerce organization.

New Ways of Work: This Sr. IT Director Value-Added Product Delivery Lead position has been segmented as Hybrid, meaning the work is a combination of onsite and remote. This position is based out of our Rosemont, IL headquarters. You will work in the Rosemont office approximately 8 days per month.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a trusted advisor to the business on anything related to the value-added technologies and seamless processes
  
• Deliver new capabilities and integration of value-added technologies that meets or exceeds stated business outcomes/benefits
  
• Active participation in developing the future digital foodservice/first strategy for US Foods. Ensure strategic digital product roadmaps are aligned with future Digital vision.
  
• Make and meet business value commitments through innovative advising and thoughtful execution
  
• Hire, retain and develop a high performing technology team for the Value-added Product area.
  
• Build effective partnerships with the national sales, commercial and digital business organizations.
  
• Manage department budget for operating expense and capital expenditures for all products teams within the area
  
• Support the business community to drive application use and adoption.
  
• Understand and effectively prioritize technical debt remediation; example: retire applications that are being replaced and/or modernized.
  
• Assist with building a great IT brand; that will attract great talent for the entire IT organization
  
• Stay current with industry trends and maintain a strong knowledge of developing Digital products and services.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Since this is a remote role; good home office is required, with high-speed, reliable internet access
  
• Must be willing and able to travel at least 20% of the time overnight
  

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Minimum 10 years, with at least 5 years working directly with and presenting to business senior leaders (CxO and VP level) within Commercial areas.
  
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  
• Strong story telling skills
  
• Excellent relationship management skills
  
• Experience with Agile methodology and principles
  
• Experience with development and delivery of digital technologies (e.g., web/mobile ordering, payments, etc.)
  
• Experience developing an innovated and future looking strategies
  
• Experience leading large-scale projects ($2m+) required
  

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field or equivalent, relevant work experience, required.
  
• Master’s degree preferred.
  

CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING :

• Certifications in web-based technologies, agility, and project management a plus
  

PREFERRED SKILLS

• “Orange Belt” certified in Continuous Improvement
  
• Understanding of Change Management Principles
  
• Understanding of Product Centric Delivery Model
  
• Experience owning a product throughout its lifecycle preferred
