Description

Our client is a Hong Kong based multi-billion dollar hedge fund with a proven track record in fundamental long/short equity investments across China and US markets. They are now seeking an exceptional Head of IT to architect and lead their next-generation technology platform.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be designing and implementing the firm's comprehensive technology infrastructure supporting fundamental research, trading, and risk management across China and US markets; you will be developing and enhancing real-time risk management systems for monitoring multi-region equity portfolios and derivative exposures; you will be building robust research platforms and analytical tools to support the investment team's fundamental analysis and idea generation process; you will also be establishing seamless connectivity to major exchanges, trading venues, and data providers across Asia and North America.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of technology leadership experience in hedge funds or financial institutions
• Proven experience in building equity investment platforms and risk systems
• Strong technical background in system architecture and cloud technologies
• Understanding of equity markets and trading workflows
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Mandarin is a PLUS.
